The project

The Alpha Skills project aims to provide new tools and methodologies to support teachers, educators, and youth workers in working with young people aged 11-15 on topics such as career guidance and skills development.

Specifically, the project focuses on empowering young individuals to make more informed choices for their future studies and career paths, with a particular emphasis on opportunities in the green economy. These tools and methodologies will be compiled into an open access online guide.

The partnership involved in the project will collaboratively develop and implement these new tools for teachers, educators, and youth workers, contextualising them within the green economy scenario. The project will also emphasise the discovery and practice of green competencies, as highlighted in the Report JRC by the European Community.

To achieve these objectives, the Alpha Skills network will organise local co-creation workshops and international training sessions, facilitating the joint development of materials with the aforementioned target group (teachers, educators, and youth workers). All materials will undergo testing in partner countries and will ultimately be consolidated within the open access online guide.

By enhancing the training of teachers in the realms of career guidance and talent development within the green economy, the project seeks to empower young individuals to make well-informed and motivated decisions about their future paths. This increased clarity about their talents, interests, skills, and opportunities, especially in the context of the green economy, will equip them better to pursue rewarding careers in this field.
